Team-building activities:

We strongly believe in the importance of regular social events and team-building activities. Our philosophy is “work hard, play hard!”

Resident Retreat – Each fall, all residents are duty-free for a day of teambuilding known as the Resident Retreat. Past retreats included laser tag, rock wall climbing, sailing and trampoline park jumping.

FMC Olympics – Each member of our office is assigned to one of three teams, consisting of faculty, residents from each class, clinical, reception, and support staff. Each fall, we spend an afternoon at one of Monmouth County’s many beautiful parks. We engage in friendly competition in events including volleyball, bocce, ladder ball, hungry-hungry human hippos, and the grand finale relay obstacle course. The winning team enjoys a pizza party at their next monthly lunchtime meeting.

Thanksgiving Feast – During November, the entire office joins together for a wonderful covered dish or potluck lunch. Employees bring in an impressive variety of foods from all ethnicities so there is always something new to try.

Holiday Party – In December, we gather for dinner out in a private room at a nearby restaurant. The past couple of years, the theme of the party was “Ugly Holiday Sweaters.” We also hold a “Polyanna” gift exchange for those who want to participate. It’s a lot of fun!

Bowling – Each year, we enjoy our annual winter bowling outing at Bowlero in North Brunswick. This event includes faculty, residents, and office staff. Everyone always has a great time!

Beach Bonding – We like to take full advantage of our location just minutes away from the beautiful Jersey Shore, so in late spring, faculty and residents spend an afternoon at the beach. The featured activities include volleyball, dodge ball, and sand castle building contests. Dinner at a local restaurant caps off the day.
